Laura has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Contemporary Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University, and certificate in Journalism from Sheridan college. She has nearly three years experience as a Freelance Journalist working as Reporter, Producer, and Magazine Editor in the Greater Toronto Area.

Laura maintains a high interest in both national and provincial politics. She has served in various positions for Elections Canada and Elections Ontario including as a Deputy Returning Officer, and Registration officer. Other than politics, Laura's interested in writing original fiction, movies, and television. In addition to her website, Laura writes two blogs: Milton Views, on politics and issues around Milton, and Musings about the lighter side of life.
